(TFOR) Chapter 10: Long Training Ahead
“Oh, how precious our thoughts were in those baby years. You aren’t joking right? I was one of those! Here, let me tell you."
Tane's dad was an excellent militant sorcerer. He served as a fuel-magic sergeant at the time. The flail of blazing black-oil he sprayed across the army of wizards on the grey coasts was something to unbelievably incredible. Eugene and the troops fought the Marooners’ Invasion on the mid-west side in Corvallis, Oregon. The marooners rode their Geranda-22 ships, Magua-T and other massive war boats with standing dark red pointy flags, portraying the icon of the Asian Maroon Helmet Group. Those people were also something Tane wouldn’t see as regular as Vuzma and his friends. The Asians had smart Victorian engineers and mechanics controlling the front guard of the steel electric engines under the titanium frameworks, but their offense wasn’t as effective to the American coasts. Even though, they had lower chances to sink their hard-working boats of destruction, they managed to flip the winning side by the scorching beam of Eugene's. The battlefield were very unexpected to see a sergeant that level, blasting such supremely solid and scorching columns of inferno, like nonstop fireworks, pushing the ‘V’ towards ‘ictory’ only refusing to be colonized by the wretched pirates of the southeast. It was such a grim and unstable period back then, living in an uncomfortable wizard-made trench and what not.
"And that's how your father and I still longing to this day."
Tane couldn’t imagine how majestic his father was back in the days. His intensive outbursts of deathly lasers would be sufficient to incinerate a nation, and more than enough to win thirty Kathagra bombs, unleashing absolute extinction at the same time.
“Well, it’s been an enjoyable chat with you, you can keep this book. Now, I have more problems to fiddle with. I can tell more stories later, but it is the time for me to remind you what I needed you for. You can suck up more knowledge later at the Ravine Sector’s closet library, or maybe try purchasing some of those unfairly expensive Droplets of Discernment at the market.”
“Thank you, sir. Much appreciated for your advice and stories.” Tane politely said.
“At last, it’s time to begin!”
“Uh, what exactly sir?” Tane inquired.
