(TFOR) Chapter 7: Patch Up
“We will” -- cough, cough -- “return.”
After the last words were declared, some people in the crowd started chanting forbidden phrases, creating the looks from a type of portal creation spell. They start piling into portals and vanished out of the area completely, including ‘The Man in the Metallic Mask’.
“Let us begone now, Wetpill.”
“Yes, master, Nincompus-Repitus!” chanted an obese cultist aside.
They both evaporated out of thin air, leaving bits of strange particles behind, fading away slowly. Then, everything goes silent.
The Leader turned to Tane, “Thank you for refusing the offer to join those wretched cultists of La Europa, I’m surprised of how courageous you are when considering stressful choices. You are one of the Noble’s kid, right? Eugene told me twice when we first met.”
“Well sir, I think we should find a safer place than this war-zone here.”
“Well then, guards, set us up a camp. I allow the use of Magic Telecall, so please tell the Evacuation Bunker that its under control now. When you stop using, just turn off the Mana Receiver.”
“Yes, my lord” replied the guards.
“Uh wait, sir? Both Boulder Sector and Plant Tower is exceedingly damaged, shouldn’t we evacuate the native citizens who live there to someplace else until we finish repairing?”
“Very well Commander Swordbound, tell them to take refuge in Cliff Sector for now. Also, please tell the medics to heal this guy up. This fellow just got atacado.”
The head guard made a reverent posture, then returned to his new mission. “Roll out boys! You heard it!”
“Umm, sir? I just woke up and now the village has incinerated before I can even talk to you.”
It was true. Tane never thought he was going to destroy an entire morning by just looking around a fancy tent. The conversation continued leaving Tane with more questions of what just occurred.
“Oh, that’s right, I wanted to talk to you. Hear me out now will you? I’m a great storyteller, but before I transport you into the world of the past. Here, I thought we lost it.”
Right before his brain could remember. Yes! The Ring! Tane got robbed, moments ago! How could he forget? How could he thank him? The Leader handed him his mother’s lifetime treasure and placed it gently on his hand.
“Listen.”
