My Truest
I twisted and turned, hoping for the blaring of the clock to
end. The clock which I assigned it to serve its purpose of destroying my
eardrums in every drowsy morning. When I knew where it was placed, I tried to
stop it from its enraging mood. I began reaching for the nearest water source
to clean up my unpleasing state. A while past, I exited my hygienic routines
and started working on my other things instead.
This morning was quiet. It was silent as it needed to be.
There were no car horns, concerts, or any factories pumping out a monstrous
cacophony into this clear Sunday morning. Starting the day off in this town was
already pleasant to see. Little gusts of wind passing by outside, small birds
chirping, but not too much was happening. But, that’s when my thoughts
gradually pictured about her. The glowing beauty I assigned myself to serve her
the best of my life. Mel was just a perfect girl I met. She’s just straight up
beautiful to my eyes. These pupils sore to adore her angelic face. Her straight
long locks. Her eyes of amber. Her charming words sprinkled with humor and
innocence. She is adorable.
As I daydreamt about her, I snapped out to another sound that
was quite separating itself from the environment.
“The table is vibrating”, I thought.
I began to panic of the alienish ringing out of nowhere,
which somehow shakes up my entirely circular marble table. Later, I stopped
panicking.
“Oh, that’s right, I left my phone under this pile of
magazines.”
The phone mentioned
very clearly that someone named Toby is trying his hardest to call me. Two
point five one seconds later, I answered the call.
“Hey, my dude. You said we would meet at nine?”
“Oh, that’s right. I’ll be right on with it after my
breakfast.”
“Okay, don’t stare at that cup of hot chocolate for too long
or you’ll be late!”
“Sure.”
“See you later mister.”
“Bye.”
The call stopped leaving me to my most peaceful breakfast. It
was then I thought about last week when I decided to invite my best friend and
the girls to have a nice walkaround at the local park. I imagined the other
boys in my class would be so jealous, but hopeless to distract me from her
incense. I took the last sip after I pictured the last time I talked to her.
Instead I was approaching her for another time. This time, Toby could do his
thing with Kate as I grab the gift for myself. I reached for the roses I bought
just yesterday and chose to bring it along.
I finished the meal and head straight to the park, bringing
my little present with me. As I was walking, I thought I could glance at my
wrist watch just for safe’s sake. That’s when I figured out that it was almost
nine. My legs began firing up to the point that I was not less than running. It
was then I slowed down just enough to see that casual smile of her face, still
showing up to me every now and then. I stopped to confront them. I was
delighted that she’s still feels happy same as before to see me.
That was when I tried my best to hide the roses from their
vision.
“Man, you’re really excited eh?” Toby spoke first.
The girls just laughed.
“Oh, definitely.”
“Let’s find a place to relax then. We will be here til’ noon,
right?”
“That tree looks to be a nice cover.” Kate answered.
Kate was in fact, a cute girl. The short hair, circular
glasses, the trendy cloth types she wears. But her looks couldn’t cover much of
her talkative personality. She likes to talk about things out of the topic.
Some guys might like her. But Mel is still my truest. She was opposite of
Kate’s side. She talked less, polite and became much more of a young lady to
me. She was prepared for what she would say. She thinks. That’s what I like
about her. She is smarter than most girls in the class.
I followed Toby and the girls into a large area covered
mostly from the tree’s shadow. The weather was fine, and the sun wasn’t mad
today. I chose the greatest time for me to have a lovely chat with miss Mel
here.
